TEACHING METHODS
I use a range of methods and activities, depending on your preferred learning style and your personal aims.
Activities include:
-
guided study of texts (eg. prose, poetry, drama);
-
worked exercises (eg. grammar, sentence-structure);
-
watching DVDs and working with the materials thus presented (eg. Shakespeare plays);
-
watching and reacting to internet downloads (eg. poetry readings, plays, workshops);
-
written work (eg. writing essays and shorter pieces of work);
-
reading development exercises (how to increase your reading speed and enhance your comprehension skills) and
-
spoken word exercises (how to achieve greater clarity in spoken communication).
